Class Policies: Since most of our classes include all supplies, a final decision to hold a class is made 72 hours prior to the class. No refunds will be made after this time. If you need to cancel you may find an alternate student to take your place. All classes are 2 hours and includes use of our machines, equipment and supplies unless otherwise specified. Weekly classes meet same day and time each week unless noted. If you find a class that is not on the current schedule, please call or stop by and fill out a class request slip. We use our request slips to schedule future classes.
Don't Be Disappointed--Register early. Nothing will cancel a good class faster than waiting until the last minute to register for it. We review scheduled classes 72 hours before they begin. If there are not enough registrants, the class may be canceled. PLEASE REGISTER EARLY.
Quilting by Machine Classes
Beginning Paper Piecing Learn how to piece to paper for the most precise points. Pattern and fabric provided. These units can be arranged to make a variety of blocks. From Blocks to Tops In this class we will review squaring our blocks. Then we will put these blocks in a quilt top with lattice and borders. One Block Wonder Each student will precisely stack fabric repeats, pin and cut 60° angles. We will then play with layout to create the blended look before piecing. We will supply fabric to make 6 repeats. Tumbling Blocks This is not your grandmothers Tumbling Blocks, no inset seams just strip piece and sew. Hand Technique Classes
Awesome Hand Appliqué Block of the Month Student will learn hand appliqué techniques while making a traditional Baltimore Album or Christmas quilt. Each month students will make a new block and learn a new hand technique. Students must supply 3” embroidery scissors, 1 1/2” silk pins #10 or #11 sharp needles and Roxanne Glue. $32.50 supplies included. Beginning Hand Embroidery If you have never done embroidery but want to try your hand at it-or need a bit of a refresher-this is the class for you. Beginning Silk Ribbon Hands-on class to learn how to work with ribbons to stitch quick but elegant embroidery techniques. You will learn a rose, French knot, Lazy daisy and more. Ribbon, needles and base fabric provided in class. $22.50 supplies included. Brazilian Embroidery I Students will stitch a small floral design incorporating bullion, feather, stem and couching stitches. The book "The Art of Dimensional Embroidery" is a recommended book but not required. Student must bring small sharp scissors and small embroidery hoop. $25 supplies included. Silk Ribbon 4 Seasons Summer Students will stitch a spring floral arrangement using a variety of stitches, threads and ribbons. Miscellaneous Classes
Breakfast Group Breakfast Group meets the 2nd Saturday of the month at 9:30 am. We will explore a different sewing/stitchery topic each month. All attendees are encouraged to bring “Show & Tell” to share their successes and pitfalls. Hand Coloring Fabric Learn how easy it can be to customize your quilts and needlework. We will use various media & techniques to embellish & create. I’ve Never Used A Sewing Machine Before... At least not that I remember!! Bring your machine or use one of ours and learn the basics of sewing machine usage and maintenance. We will cover winding bobbins, inserting needles, threading machines, sewing straight stitch, zig-zag and a mending stitch. $22.50 class fee. Kids Camp Teacher: Sherry $30 per class or $100 for the week or $300 for the week includes a new sewing machine Supplies Included Getting to Know a Sewing Machine– A Must Kids will learn the different parts of the sewing machine, dos and don’ts of machine use and basic sewing functions. 2 pm to 3:30 pm Mon June 16 Making a Pillowcase Kids will make a decorative pillowcase using basic sewing machine stitches. 2 pm to 3:30 pm Tues June 17 Making a Zipper Purse Kids will construct and put a zipper in a purse using basic sewing machine stitches, students will also use machine embellishment stitches. 2 pm to 3:30 pm Wed June 18 Making Shorties Students will learn to read and cut out a basic pattern. Students will then sew the pieces together to create PJ bottoms. 2 pm to 3:30 pm Thur June 19 Making a Biscuit Quilt Rice Bag Students will learn basic machine piecing techniques while making a rice bag. 2 pm to 3:30 pm Fri June 20 Back to Menu	If students are taking individual classes, they must take a basic sewing machine class or have previous sewing machine knowledge.

Rocky Mountain Creative Quilters August 23-24, 2008 at the Ranch/Budweiser Event Center First National Bank Exhibition Building I-25 and Crossroads Blvd. in Loveland Colorado. Saturday from 10:00 a.m. - 0 5:00 p.m., Sunday from 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.. First time ever, all 300+ quilts, garments, dolls and accessories in the 2008 traveling collection of the Hoffman Challenge will be displayed in one venue, including all 37 award winners. The Premier showing of the 2008 Have A Heart Quilt Competition sponsored by Meander Publishing will be on hand, as well as hundreds of other quilts, garments and dolls from the Rocky Mountain region. Demonstrations of creative techniques and products, Hourly door prize drawings, Vendor Mall. Our featured Artist Exhibit will be Christine Dabbs a top award winning hand needlework artist, with her Crazy Quilt Pieces as well as her incredible Stumpwork. Christine Dabbs will be teaching a two day seminar on Stumpwork on Monday, August 25-26, 2008.
