Intro to Foundation Paper Piecing

Intro to Foundation Paper Piecing with Lana

Ready to take your quilting skills to the next level? In this beginner-friendly class, Lana will introduce you to the tools and techniques needed to create beautiful, precise blocks using foundation paper piecing.

This method allows you to achieve perfect points and intricate designs with ease. You’ll start with the basics and practice on a couple of simple blocks to build confidence. A few starter patterns will be provided, and we’ll have fabric scraps available so you can dive right in before using your own fabrics of choice.

This class is ideal for confident beginners who are comfortable with basic sewing and familiar with their machine’s functions.

Classroom machines are available for those unable to bring their own—please call ahead to rent one.

What to bring:

  • Zig Zag presser foot

  • Neutral piecing thread to blend with fabrics

  • Rotary cutter

  • Basic sewing supplies (pins, scissors, seam ripper, etc.)
