Rope Bowl & Trivet Workshop with Lana
We’ve all seen them—those gorgeous rope bowls and trivets stitched together on your sewing machine, then dressed up with embroidery, fabric, or other embellishments. Now it’s your turn to make one!
Join Lana for a fun and creative demo and hands-on class where she’ll show you how to get started, choose the right supplies, and keep your project moving smoothly. You’ll learn the basics, then create your own rope trivet or bowl right in class with Lana’s guidance.
You’ll also learn how to prepare your piece to add embroidery. (Embroidery will not be done during this class, but you can bring an embroidered piece for hands-on help adding your design!)
What to Bring:

Your sewing machine

Foot pedal

New sharp needle – 80/12 or 90/14

Natural color thread to match your cording

New bobbin, wound and ready

Slide-on table (acrylic extension table recommended for a flat surface)

Multi-purpose foot for zigzag stitching

Optional: 1" fabric strips if you’d like to incorporate fabric into your bowl
Rope will be available for purchase at class.
No pattern is required—Lana will guide you step by step.
