How can we support Ukraine?
We will do what we do best: Make quilts!
We are asking all of our generous customers to make a block or stitch a sunflower, we will be collecting them until 4/30/2022. Blocks and embroideries will be displayed in our store during the month of May. After all our blocks are created we will begin creating quilts out of them.
Quilters: Pat Sloan has created a FREE Quilter’s Stand For Ukraine Block & Quilt Pattern that you can download and print. We absolutely love it. Make the block and share it on social media or with your guild/friends/fellow quilters to show your support of the Ukrainian people. |

Embroiderers (Hand or Machine): We recently learned that sunflowers are the official flower for Ukraine. We asking for stitched out sunflowers that can be incorporated into the quilts were making! Janome embroidery machines have a sunflower pre-loaded or you can download an embroidery design online. Click here to a download a clip art drawing.

Want to help even more? Pat Sloan, along with Aurifil Thread, have partnered with UNICEF to raise funds for the children and families of Ukraine. By making a donation, you’ll be helping UNICEF provide access to basic services including water and sanitation, immunization and health care, schooling and learning, psychosocial support, and emergency cash assistance for up to 7.5 million children. If your prefer not to donate money online , we will be collecting money to donate to the World Central Kitchen. This organization has been serving hot, nourishing meals at a 24-hour pedestrian border crossing in southern Poland.
